When should I contact a 第九条 coordinator?
Any student, faculty or staff member, or applicant for admission or education who 是否鼓励与有关性行为不端或性别歧视的人联系 a 第九条 coordinator.
Contact a coordinator if you:

- Learn of a situation that you feel may warrant a University investigation;
- Need help on how to handle a situation by which you are indirectly affected;

2. Who is 的 第九条协调员? How can 的y help me?

She is responsible for coordinating 的 University’s compliance with 第九条, including overseeing all 投诉 of sex discrimination and identifying and addressing any patterns or systemic problems that arise during 的 review of such 投诉. As 的 第九条协调员, she can direct you to 的 most appropriate resources and options. You can also report incidents of retaliation to 的 第九条协调员.

4. Is 的re an option that allows me to report 的 incident confidentially?

5. What types of assistance/remedies are available?

6. I was assaulted on a study abroad trip, what options do I have?

7. I think I was assaulted a while ago (months, years, etc.), can I still report?

9. Do I have to 立即 decide to press charges?
No, but if you want to keep your legal options open, 的 University suggests that you do receive medical attention. The College Advocate from 的 Rape Crisis Center 可以陪你去医院并在手术期间支持你 过程.
A sexual assault evidence collection kit may be administered at Milford Hospital, or Yale New Haven Hospital. A "rape kit" involves a 过程 of collecting DNA evidence that may have been left by 的 perpetrator. If you do choose to undergo a rape kit, you are not required to cooperate with law enforcement or pursue criminal charges. However, only DNA evidence collected by a rape kit is admissible in court. 这是 a free service in 的 state of CT.

10. I don’t want a rape kit, can I choose to not have one?
You can choose to refuse a rape kit. You may still want to seek medical treatment, emergency contraception, STI testing/treatment, and pregnancy testing. 大学 纽黑文健康服务中心的医生可以为你提供一些转诊选择 服务.
